Configuration Problems

I am using SpamBayes POP3 Proxy Version 1.0.4 (March 2005) (binary), with version 2.3.5 (#62, Feb 8 2005, 16:23:02) [MSC v.1200 32 bit (Intel)] of Python; my operating system is Windows 6.1.7600.2 (). I have trained 0 ham and 0 spam. The problem I am having is that I had a hard drive failure. My wife passed away recently and I am on an extended vacation in Pennsylvania and I live across the country in California. My MS Office disks are there. I am now using Thunderbird for my email client. I have several email addresses. This is a new Toshiba Satellite with *Windows 7 and is a 64 bit system with a 500gbt hard drive and two external hard drives (a 1tbt and a 3 tbt)*. The problem: how do I configure Spambays for use with Thunderbird? I am not a novice but far from a computer guru. Please be as specific as possible. Hello, I have used Spambayes very successfully on Outlook 2003 / WinPX, however moving to a new laptop with Win7 and Outlook 2003 Spambayes loads with a message ' Error initializing SpamBayes addin please restart Outlook. The Toolbar is frozen and no filtering occurs. I have looked on your FAQ's but no obvious resolution. Can you help me?? Many thanks Martin

Secure access still not working

for many moons now I've been hoping for secure access to be implemented in SpamBayes. No other spam filter comes close (although, to tell you the truth, very little spam currently gets past my ISP, although I fear quite a lot of non-spam suffers a spammie fate). 1.1a4 promised SSL access but failed to deliver, and crashed a lot, and now trying 1.1a6, and seems to be managing to connect to pop.live.com on port 995, but behaviour erratic, and never gets further than downloading 1/3 of the message list, let alone any messages. Is SpamBayes still being actively developed, or have the developers gone on to bigger, more lucrative things? Not that they don't deserve a lucrative future, but unfortunately that lucre won't come from me, as i"m now getting too little spam to be worth it. Is there any hope of a functioning SSL version? Using it on WinXP pro with OE6. Thanks

Bonsoir. Quand jinstalle spam bayes 1.1a6 le plugin ne sinstalle pas et la barre des taches de spam bayes napparait pas(voir les images ci-joint). Mon système : Windows 7 professionnel Outlook 2007 sp2 mso Spambayes 1.1a6. Une solution? Jai réussi a installer spam bayes 1.04 mais je préférerais installer la nouvelle version Merci de votre réponse Good night. How do I disable or uninstall spambayes. I don't know how I got it and I don't want it, but it keeps popping up to tell me that it can't work properly. Thanks. M-Jo

MS Outlook 2010

SpamBayes, I absolutely love your spambayes program and I have been using since 2003. I recently upgraded to Outlook 2010. When I checked your website, I did not see an version compatible with outlook 2010. Is the latest release 1.0.4 compatible or are you working on a newer version? Spam Bayes Folder select problem

I recently changed from a POP3 to IMAP e mail account. Spambayes reports that it is watching <unknown folder> for Spam. When I go to the Filtering tab and click browse next to the arrive folder, the list is blank. Is there a way to edit this? Bob Shipley R.M.R. Elevator Co. Can spambayes reject a message back to its sender?

Hi, I've been using spambayes for a couple of years to really good effect with Outlook 2003. Yesterday I accidentally clicked "spam" on a message that wasn't spam. Today that person has told me his messages to be are returned "you do not have permission to sent to this recipient". All other mail is coming as normal. * Can I reverse this classification? * Does everyone on the spam list get a refusal to deliver messages? I thought the messages just went into the spam folder.
