Hello spambayes team, have installed the current version of spambayes 1.1a6 at window 7 and outlook 2010. The installation was complete and the training was running. At the next start of outlook 2010 comes a problem of initiation of spambayes. I have remove the add-in from outlook and install the same but the problem is now. Problem in downloading Spambayes on my PC

Hi, I was trying to download Spambayes on my PC (this version): Thunderbayes++ <http://heapoverflow.com/f0rums/project.php?projectid=21> ThunderBayes extended to work with Thunderbird 3.x I have Windows 7 Professional and when I hit download, it starts to download but stops before finishing and directs me to this website: http://shell.windows.com/fileassoc/0409/xml/redir.asp?EXT=xpi and recommends that I download a program called Regwork that you have to pay for. Can you please give me step by step instructions on how to successfully download this on to my PC without having to purchase any other software and use it to eliminate spam from my e-mail? SpamByes won't switch on after an Outlook problem

Hi, I've used Spambayes for a couple of years. Occasionally I got an error message from Outlook (Outlook 2003 (11.8169.8172) SP3, under Windows XP) but it never caused a problem with SpamBayes. Recently I had a computer shutdown that failed to close Outlook properly and it did its udul checking of the Outlook file before it would start, but it said that it thought SpamBayes was at fauls and asked to disable it. I agreed thinking I'd just switch it back on again. Alas I can't do so. There's no menu appearing when I click the drop-down box on the SpamBayes button in its toolbar, nothing appears in "Junk suspects" and clicking on "Spam" no longer causes the message to be deleted. I've uninstalled SpamBayes, downloaded the current version 1.1a6 and installed this, but it failed to go through the startup configuration and Outlook appears unchanged with the SpamBayes toolbar there but nothing is working. I've run Outlook's "Detect and repair" to no effect. Please can you suggest how to fix this? Thanks Stuart Ord

I downloaded SpamBayes today, but can’t figure out how to use it. I clicked on the installing SpamBayes link in your documentation section, but I got a “The connection was reset” error message. This happened at two separate times, several hours apart. Some of the other links in that section work OK, but some result in the same error message. Can you fix the link, so I can get some info on what I’m doing wrong on my installation? I assumed that every time an e-mail arrived, I’d see it in the REVIEW MESSAGES section so I could train SpamBayes, but nothing ever shows up—it just says there are no untrained messages to display. When I went to configure it, I put pop-server.satx.rr.com into the POP3 Proxy Options section, and 8110 (later 8111) in the Ports Box, but when I click on SAVE, I get this message: 500 Server error Traceback (most recent call last): File "spambayes\Dibbler.pyo", line 476, in found_terminator File "spambayes\UserInterface.pyo", line 883, in onChangeopts File "spambayes\ProxyUI.pyo", line 569, in reReadOptions File "sb_server.pyo", line 981, in _recreateState UnboundLocalError: local variable 'state' referenced before assignment In the Status and Configuration window, it says No POP3 Proxies Running, and that SpamBayes will classify all messages as 'unsure', ready for you to train.However, as stated above, there are never any messages in the REVIEW MESSAGES section.Anything you can do to educate me and help me get it running would be greatly appreciated.Thanks, AL

Problems with 1.16a on Win7-64

Using the 1.1a6 version and after shutting Outlook 2007 down, I get an error message "Problem Starting Spambayes Plug-in" at the next start. This occurs even after a full shutdown/startup cycle. For logging, I'm getting nothing from Spambayes or Outlook as to what is wrong. Just the error message during Outlook startup. I did catch an APPCRASH that stated GOCR had failed but don't know if that's linked to Spambayes.
