Teaching Spambayes

Apologies for a non descriptive subject line, After many years Spambayes has become finely tuned with maybe 1-2 misdirected emails per month. When I find a misdirected email I engage Spambayes training page and copy the raw data to train as ham or spam. Most of my emails are not lengthy and I copy the entire raw data to train Spambayes. My concern is I don't want to corrupt the database by training on a very long email. To wit; I received a reply to an email which has successfully been going back & forth 5-6 times, printed it would now be perhaps 5-8 pages in length. It is important all of the replies remain attached to the email. Today I found the reply in the spam folder. To properly train at this point, should I copy & paste the entire contents of the email or should I just copy for the instance, the initial part of the email containing the X-Header information? As this is a good email found in the spam folder, I'm afraid that not training on it will corrupt the database. I will await replies before dealing with this email. how to completely uninstall and remove spambayes

Hi Team, My IT recently moved me to a new PC. During the migration my Spambayes 1.04 install became corrupted. Basically the Outlook plug-in buttons no longer worked. I tried usual uninstall and re-install with v1.04 and the latest v1.1a6. In both cases I get the error below. I tried deleting all Spambayes entries in the registry, but I have been unable to get Spambayes working with my new machine. I'm using a Dell E7240 with Win7 64b. Any guidance you can provide to help me get Spambayes up and running again would be appreciated. Spambayes

I tried to install and configure spambayes on outlook 2007 running on vista 32bit using a very large inbox a good message and a junk email folder for junk message. It hung up my outlook all night. So I restarted the computer and uninstalled spambayes and re-installed. Now outlook simply hangs on startup after the message that there is a problem with the spambayes configuration and it needs to be run again. Regardless of how many times I uninstall and re-install attempts I can't seem to get rid of this message and be offered the configuration screen instead as I got on the first install. Is there a location for the configuration file where I can go and delete it manually. Rakesh _____ I am using the Free version of SPAMfighter <http://www.spamfighter.com/len> . I am enjoying using SpamBayes. My question is: If I move a spam message from my inbox to the spam folder directed from my iPhone (or any other exchange client), which then syncs with the exchange server, will SpamBayes get trained on that message? Or must I actually move the message directly from the Outlook client which SpamBayes is running on? Nathan
