Dear Developers, for many years I enjoyed using spambayes as the only useful spam filter for several Outlook versions. Now I had to switch to Outlook 2013 it doesn't work at all. Either the plugin can't be initated at all, or errors so severe occur, that I have to install Outlook again. Will there be a release for Windows 8 and Outlook 2013? Or will I have to say goodbye to the only unseful spam filter I ever found? Thanks and regards, Jochen Hain
Jochen, I am using SpamBayes on Windows 8.1 with office 2013. It works fine with Outlook 2013. I am using 64 bit Windows and 32 bit Office. -- Matt Johnson On Sun, Jan 19, 2014 at 8:22 AM, Jochen Hain <jh@j-hain.de> wrote:

Hi Jochen, Now I had to switch to Outlook 2013 it doesn’t work at all.
I no longer use SpamBayes myself, but the usual advice for modern versions of Outlook is that you need to install SpamBayes into a directory with no space, eg. C:\spambayes -- Richie Hindle richie@entrian.com http://entrian.com/blog http://twitter.com/richiehindle
I have not followed that advise. I have Spam Bayes installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\SpamBayes and it works fine. So spaces in the file path are not a problem in my experience. -- Matt Johnson On Sun, Jan 19, 2014 at 10:05 AM, Richie Hindle <richie@entrian.com> wrote:

ISTR the deal was that you had to install it outside C:\Program Files. I might be mistaken though, as IANAWP. Skip On Sun, Jan 19, 2014 at 10:29 PM, Matt Johnson <railmeat@gmail.com> wrote:

on 64 bit windows \Program files is only for 64 bit programs. \Program files (x86) is for 32 bit programs. So that could be a problem. I have not done any testing, just reporting what works for m. -- Matt Johnson On Sun, Jan 19, 2014 at 10:02 PM, Skip Montanaro <skip@pobox.com> wrote:

Installing not in the „Programs“ directory but in your user directory may help as well Von: SpamBayes [mailto:spambayes-bounces+hnowak=cincom.com@python.org] Im Auftrag von Richie Hindle Gesendet: Sonntag, 19.
