There is a better implementation in Twisted. FTP is inherently unsafe. And the interface is pretty crappy.
But works, and I've seen a lot of code that does simple FTP pushing or pulling files. If we take this out, we'll lose this functionality from stdlib. I'm -1 on this removal.
