Very well. Here's an archive of my stdlib-inclusion branch for jsonlib, with implementations for Python 2.6 and 3.0. If you can, please include its unit tests and encoding autodetection into whatever version of simplejson you're working on. Not all of the tests will be useful, since some test error checking, but most should be applicable.
