I think these ought to be discussed on comp.lang.python. ISTM, the most recent proposals are a bit cavalier and need a fair hearing among potential constituents before tossing out other peoples batteries Raymond ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brett Cannon" <brett@python.org> To: "stdlib-sig" <stdlib-sig@python.org> Sent: Wednesday, March 19, 2008 9:27 PM Subject: [stdlib-sig] proposed removal: netrc

That would make this SIG worthless if I can't get initial feedback here first. And yes they are cavalier, but if someone doesn't propose something to go then how am I supposed to know what is reasonable for it to go? My assumptions about modules might be wrong and so proposing a removal and having people just say "that goes too far" then that's fine. And every removal is going to remove someone's batteries.
