Hello, I want to attach the result of a database SELECT query to the response of a HTTP GET request. A web2.server.NOT_DONE_YET constant is not defined. In other words, how could I return a defer-related response instead of a simple http.Response object ? Thank you.

Listening to SOAP messages in a web service

Hi, I am working on twisted framework to create a test harness for testing and monitoring web services. The idea is to non intrusively monitor SOAP requests sent to or from a webservice and log them. I approached the problem by creating a miniature proxy server to log the HTTP requests through the machine at the port in which the webservice is listening. But since the webservice is already using the port the proxy is not able to run. Is there a way in which I can listen to the SOAP messages traffic in a webservice using twisted? twisted log files

I am not sure if awstats directly parses twisted log files, but I recently wrote a chunk of python code to re-parse sections of the awstats output and control when it was run etc. It got me thinking that it would be great to have a python version of awstats, perhaps integrated into a web application framework. That is the problem with using awstats with python as awstats is all perl and the config file is just huge around 1500 lines I think. Error importing reactor from twisted.internet

Hi, I am newly learning twisted use it in my development projects. I installed twisted in my machine imported the reactor from twisted.internet. But I got an error stating internet.protocol is not present. Traceback (most recent call last): File "<pyshell#2>", line 1, in -toplevel- from twisted.internet import reactor File "C:\Python24\Scripts\twisted.py", line 1, in -toplevel- from twisted.internet.protocol import protocol ImportError: No module named internet.protocol I am not sure as the necessary paths are in the PYTHONPATH as well. How to nest LiveElements? (getting a MissingRenderMethod error)

Hi there. I've got a web app that was originally written as a bunch of LiveElements at the top level of a LivePage. I want to clean up this code and restructure it such that several of the LiveElements are more modular; this entails making some of the LiveElements contain other LiveElements. Now, I could have *sworn* I've done this before, but whatever I try to do now I get a nevow.errors.MissingRenderMethod exception. At the end of this email is a cut-down example that exhibits the behaviour.
