You should never call writeResponse directly on a request object. You should _return_ an IResponse or a deferred which results in an IResponse from an IResource's render method.

Non twisted xmlrpc client to twisted xmlrpc server

Guys.. Any guidance will give me more hours of sleep! I went through all the docs, but I must be missing something! Have a Flash client doing xmlrpc calls Hava a twisted xmlrpc server but I receive deferred objects that non twisted xmlrpc clients can't understand!... What do you recommend? I am trying to get asterisk status and data using the great starpy.. Your help is of great value! Cheers MaTT

Streaming render

I've run into a curious blank wall here: I'm rendering a page, basically consisting of an HTML table of results plus various fluff. In order to generate these results, I fire off an asynchronous operation to which I pass a callback; the callback is then invoked once per result, corresponding to a row in the resulting table. Currently I'm just firing the operation off in beforeRender, building up a list as an instance attribute on the class in question, and then preceeding with the rendering, using that list in a renderer later. For small result sets, this works fine; however, I'm now running into situations where I have over 10k rows in the resulting table. Under these circumstances, holding all this data in memory and then rendering it all at once incurs a rather large and unnecessary memory overhead; also, there is a large delay between the client's request, and the response document beginning to be streamed. I'd like to start streaming the document as soon as I start receiving the results of the operation, but I'm stumped on how to actually implement this. If I return a deferred from the render method, I cannot fire this deferred until all of the rows have been built up. Any ideas? Formless

Hi ! I have looked at formless to design forms. There are two kind of examples. The ones that use annotate.TypedInterface. With this one, I don't see how to associate some actions in the concrete implementation. For example, suppose that I want to be able to register some observers. Or should I implement __setattr__ for each attribute ? The second ones use bind_* method. Attaching actions is far more easier. However, I don't know how to change labels. By default, it uses the name of the method and add spaces before capitals. In the code source, I see that it can uses docstring too but adding one to the method does not have effect. I didn't find where to change the label of the "Call" button too. In fact, it seems that formless lacks a tutorial or a good documentation. There are some examples but not doc.
