The error dialog you're noticing comes from Nevow.Athena.PageWidget.showErrorDialog (which is defined in Nevow/nevow/js/Nevow/Athena/__init__.js). The PageWidget is the root JavaScript class that controls everything that's going on on the page. If you want to customize this, you should subclass Nevow.Athena.PageWidget in your application, and override showErrordDialog. On the Python side of things, you need to subclass nevow.athena.LivePage, and set your subclass's jsClass attribute to the name of your PageWidget subclass. I would not recommend trying to implement everything PageWidget does itself, since it does quite a lot and its interface isn't completely documented anywhere. This could definitely be better documented. Can you contribute a documentation patch that explains that stuff I just said? :-)

I have notice that when an error occur in a LiveElement (lost connection or not handled exception in the server) an error message is displayed in the browser. A question with storm orm and Nevow

Hi people, I am using storm orm(twisted-integration) with Nevow. There is a question that confuses me a lot: (since storm orm(twisted-integration) does db io in a asynchronous way). In a render function, before my data returns, what should I return for the render function? does Nevow has something like server.NOT_DONE_YET? or there is a "deferred" way to do this? Radio button checked error at nevow._flat.FlattenerError

I founded out that if I have <input type="radio" name="consignas" value="1" checked /> in my HTML I get this error: <class 'nevow._flat.FlattenerError'>: /home/juanjo/python/twisted/teco/ter.html:21:63: not well-formed (invalid token) <input type="radio" name="consignas" value="1" checked="checked" /> fix it an works fine. Cannot render a LivePage more than once

HI! I'm using LivePage from Nevow.Athena like this: class TerPage(LivePage): docFactory = loaders.stan(T.html[ T.head(render=T.directive('liveglue')), T.body(render=T.directive('myElement'))]) def beforeRender(self, ctx): d = self.notifyOnDisconnect() d.addErrback(self.disconn) def disconn(self, reason): del lectores[hash(self.element)] def render_myElement(self, ctx, data): self.element = TempElement() self.element.setFragmentParent(self) return ctx.tag[self.element] def child_(self, ctx): return TerPage() site = appserver.NevowSite(TerPage()) reactor.listenTCP(8009, site) When I load the page for first time, it's rendered ok. But if I hit the reload button or someone access it from other computer, this exception is shown: Cannot render a LivePage more than once. Could you point me the correct way of doing it? Hello all, I was searching for a way to implement a fast, reliable WebDAV server. I've been using Apache so far, but without exciting results, as there are a couple of things (among those, Windows client support) that just don't cut it. So, having some twisted programming experience, I thought about giving a twisted solution a try because I remember seeing the dav module inside web2: but looking at trunk, I couldn't find it anymore. I thought it had then been backported into web, but no luck there aswell. Anybody knows about it? And what is the current state? Is it usable, or needs some "loving"? Greetings Simone Deponti

I have this Nevow.Athena code: <div xmlns:nevow="http://nevow.com/ns/nevow/0.1" xmlns:athena="http://divmod.org/ns/athena/0.7" nevow:render="liveElement"> <h2>Grafica</h2> <div id="placeholder" style="width:600px;height:300px">****</div> </div> When the live element is rendered, the id is changed to something like athena:1-placeholder. This gived me some headaches using JQuery $(#id) form. Does anyone know something about this? Greets! PS: I use the name attribute now. -- Juanjo Conti
