Hello,
I would like to know if there is any plan soon or later to get a SocksV5 api. It would be great to be able to use for the authentification and the UDP possibilities. I might add that almost all new network application supporting a proxy feature have the v5.
Thanks very much
Regards Fabien
I don't know of anybody working on writing such a thing.

One of the folk who uses my jabber transports (pyicq-t and pyaim-t) actually wrote in socks5 support that integrates with twisted. Perhaps I should encourage him to submit it to twisted proper?

I have been trying to get a hold of the person who did the work to see if it's cool with them if I share their email address. =) Stay tuned.
