What was the answer? I use something like this: def setDefaults(self, ctx, data): formDefaults = ctx.locate(iformless.IFormDefaults) defaults = formDefaults.getAllDefaults(myFormName) for key, value in data: # my data is a sequence of tuples defaults[key] = value Which seems pretty clunky.
