Over the weekend I was working on adding POP3 support to the messaging library I'm working on. I noticed that while downloading large messages from a POP3 server on my local network my test app would use 100% CPU, and would stop responding to events until it finished downloading the message. I've installed and configured twisted-web on pyramid, running on port 8880. Can everyone please browse through http://twistedmatrix.com:8880/ and make sure it behaves similarly to http://twistedmatrix.com/? (1) The part of the URI starting with a '?' is not passed along to the reverse proxy server. (2) The browser hangs if conditional GET requests passed along to the reverse proxy server returns a 304 (Not Modified) result. The following diffs in twisted/web/proxy.py patches ReverseProxyResource to temporarily get around these two problems. Tv pointed this out on irc: <Tv> _moshez: Are you guru enough to grok BaseConnector? <Tv> Reconnects (calling connector.connect() in connectionLost/Failed) make it leak numPorts and never shutdown the factory. Hi. I wanted to have SRV record (RFC 2782) support connecting to services. So here we go.
