I've just wrapped the SystemConfiguration interface from Darwin (part of the configd project, which is open source under APSL). Basically it lets you query a Whole Lot Of Settings. It also lets you get notification when these settings change. Hello Axel, Thanks for your help. I found the message by browsing the list archive but I can't get the source code which is attached. I tried to manually decode it from base64 but I didn't succeed. Hi all, I need to implement a command based protocol, that is a client sends a command to the server and waits for the response. Since the response computation might be time consuming I have to choose between 2 solutions: - use Twisted deffereds - or write my own implementation, a TCP based threaded server. I am very new to the twisted framework so maybe there is a completely obvious answer to this question that is eluding me in the documentation... Can I use twisted to read and write ethernet frames? How do I listen and write packets on a particular interface? Thanks, Steve
