[Twisted-Python] twistd logging rotation and discarding logs

Hi Folks, twistd has a very nice logging feature which seems on my machine to totate log files every 1mb. After a while though many log files pile up. I looked in twisted.python.log for options to discard older files, and also on google, but wasnt sure how to interact with twistd's logging. Is there a way of doing this at the twistd level, or should I just use cron or implement custom logging using twistd.python.log and logfile? Thanks, Rahul

Can someone help me out? I'm trying (so far without success) to get Woven to generate the Options for a Select from my Model. I haven't found any docs or examples that explain it. - Sam

I am using: Twisted 1.1.0. Python 2.3.2 Running on WinXP I recently set up a wireless network at home (1 WinXP system and 1 Win98 system), and because I have a dial-up connection to the Internet, I wanted to set up an HTTP proxy sever so both computers could browse the web simultaneously. It's beginning to dawn on me that the whole OOP/functional/aspect-oriented/etc. scene is about software engineering, not just about egos and pet languages. My software engineering education kind of stopped with Structured System Design á la Yourdon and Wirth's structured programming mantras in the 70's. Sorry my last post, I've found the solution ... I have to set the dtd to XHTML-1.0 Tansitional, and then, woven doesn't delete the dtd... I'm sure this part is covered in the doc ?! -- Philippe

Hi all I've made some templates using a DTD (XHTML 1.1 or HTML 4.0 strict). The rendered pages are missing this dtd, beacause it's overwritten with <?xml version="1.0"?> Of course, pages are different if they are rendered :( Do I have to change all my templates to xml dtd ? Or can I impose my DTD to woven ? thx ! -- Philippe

[Twisted-Python] possible doc error

In howto/application: "It is, of course, possible to write one's own services, but Twisted comes out of the box with several services which are useful in writing network applications. Those are in twisted.application.internet." For sure, Twisted comes out of the box with a load of stuff, but the only service I see in twisted.application.internet is the TimerService. Should that be twisted.internet.app ?

Hi, now there is a mirror of the Circle (for linux users, GTK based gui). The Circle is going into internals refactoring. I'm sugesting to use Twisted for his new generators based schema (flows instead of threads). Anyone interested ? The Circle is an already aviable, already usable P2P software based on the DHT concept.
