Hello, I need transactions usign SQLReflector. How can I ativate this ? Basically I have an array of rowObjects and I want to insert all of them in a database table, but all in a transaction, and rollback if an error occurrs. Thanks.

[Twisted-Python] Twisted and curses

I've been toying with the idea of writing a GUI toolkit in Python with the curses library. Obviously such a thing would have to be event-driven, and if I ever wanted any network connectivity I'd want to use Twisted. Twisted does not come with a curses reactor, but with a little experimentation I found out how to make the reactor's .listenWith() method do more or less what I wanted. Code is here (5KB tarball): http://members.optusnet.com.au/thristian/curses.tar.gz You get cursesapp.py, a thin wrapper around curses setup, teardown, and the eventloop, and test.py, a very simple demonstration program. There's lots of comments and docstrings. [Twisted-Python] [twisted-conch] Using flow package to control workflow

Hi @all, I am very sorry, but again I need some advice using the conch package, better in this case using the flow package together with conch. Problem is -> I am using conch to connect per ssh to an server -> execute some scripts on the ssh-server -> got the callback and process the result. For now this is working fine, but there's the problem when triggering the connection this method is used to give an resultset. Therefore I thought to use the flow package to block the triggering method until the result comes. First, is this attempt ok ? Is it possible to use flow to synchronize that async thingie?? Next, what should I use -> I tried to use flow.Block() but now the whole script seem to hang? I would like to give an example but this would go beyond the scope... Any help is very appreciated. Hi Paul, sorry for giving not all informations. The conch part is the client which connects to an AIX server with sshd. I tried to place a file called rc into the users home/.ssh directory but it wasn't executed anyway. Hi @all, me again with some problems :-) When I login on the ssh-server I want the .profile to be executed. There are some special scripts setting the environment for the user. Is there a simple way to do so?? Best regards and respect, Marcus.

Can you help me with the following: I have wxpython + twisted application, i have button event handler - when button is pressed client connects to twisted server via ssl. class MyFrame(wxFrame, TaskBarApp): .... .... def OnConnect(self, event=None): # Called when 'connect' button is pressed bf = pb.PBClientFactory() from twisted.internet import ssl contextFactory = ssl.ClientContextFactory() reactor.connectSSL("localhost", 33333, bf, contextFactory, 30) d = bf.getRootObject() d.addCallbacks(self.gotObject, self.gotError) class MyApp(wxApp): def OnInit(self): frame = MyFrame(NULL, -1, "Infoservice HomeLAN") frame.Show(true) self.SetTopWindow(frame) return true app = MyApp(0) wxsupport.install(app) reactor.run() In my case user has option - 'autoconnect', so when application is launched and autoconnect is true, it will automatically connect to server. So i need to call OnConnect, but where is the right place where i need to put call to OnConnect? Should i do it with reactor callLater or somehow else? Your help is very, very appreciated. [Twisted-Python] Newbie trying to figure out cred

Hello All, I am new to the twisted framework. After some searching through the docs, I finally found the howtos and examples that let me grok the basic twisted concepts. Since then I've been successful putting together a basic web application with twisted. Now I am trying to add credential functionality and I am completely lost. Initially I read all the API docs, and could not make much sense of how to stitch everything together. Nor could I find any web based credential examples. Finally I found the mailing list thread titled "lies, damn lies, and interfaces", which outlined a new cred interface and gave an example file. I upgraded to twisted 1.0.6 and downloaded sandbox/webhappyrealm.py. When I run it and attempt to access /site1 I get the following: ----- web.Server Traceback (most recent call last): twisted.cred.error.UnhandledCredentials: No checker for twisted.cred.credentials.IAnonymous ,twisted.cred.credentials.ICredentials twisted.cred.error.UnhandledCredentials: No checker for twisted.cred.credentials.IAnonymous ,twisted.cred.credentials.ICredentials ----- Are these new interfaces mature enough to use? [Twisted-Python] Encoding patch for twisted.web.microdom.Document

I have patched that class, in order to make the xml opening as: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> One may choose the encoding by passing the encoding="my-encoding" as an additional argument to Document. This is the only way I have for the site I do (in continental portuguese, if that matters) in Galeon and Mozilla. Here is the diff (I have renamed the original microdom.py to microdom-old.py in order to test the server. CUT HERE------------- 198c198 < def __init__(self, documentElement=None): --- > def __init__(self, documentElement=None, encoding='utf-8'): 202a203,205 > ## Add a default encoding. > self.encoding = encoding > 227c230 < stream.write('<?xml version="1.0"?>' + newl) --- > stream.write('<?xml version="1.0" encoding="' + self.encoding + '" ?>' + newl) CUT HERE------------- Maybe the same thing dould be applied in xmlrpc.py, since the <?xml?> string is also hardwired.
