Hello, I just signed up for this list because I am having no success connecting to an https xmlrpc server through a proxy/firewall. The proxy can do both http and https for the web just fine. I have also been able to connect to an xmlrpc server with just http through the proxy. I am using the ProxiedXMLRPC class from this page: http://twistedmatrix.com/pipermail/twisted-python/2004-December/009258.html The author notes it isn't tested with https. In order to connect to the xmlrpc … [View More]server, a certificate and key need to be specified. I don't know where to specify these files. I don't even know if this is technically possible. I am hoping that it is. Any suggestions will be appreciated. So, srichter has asked for a branch from which he can get a stable (bugfix only, no API changes) twisted and web2. It is not obvious how this would be done currently. We have, right now, a /branches/ releases/2.1.x branch, for stable releases of twisted core. [Twisted-Python] Need reviewer for IOCP spawnProcess patch

I have a patch adding spawnProcess to the IOCP reactor ( http://twistedmatrix.com/bugs/issue1008) applied to my own branch (/branches/justinj). I need one of the core developers to review the patch and make a note in the issue if you approve of the patch, or noting changes you'd like to see. So far I have had a difficult time finding anyone to review the patch. Will someone please volunteer who can look at it soon? Thanks, Justin

FYI, in newpb, you obtain all RemoteReferences through a 'Tub' (actually the class is PBService), and because the Tub is really a twisted.application.service.MultiService, you can shut it down (and disconnect any open connections) by just doing .stopService(). oldpb's clientfactory and serverfactory are a thing of the past.
