Hello! Is anyone going to do an update on the cheese shop anytime soon? Trying to install Twisted 2.10, I ended up installing 1.30, as the installation download page listed in the Cheese Shop has just downloads of that version. I saw Itamarst is the owner there. David PS: didn't try to sound harsh or hostile, but english is not such an expressive language and I'm not an expressive person.

Hello again! Last time I had the same problem with a telnet client; I dropped the code to start again with the conch ssh sample. I'm trying to find a way to execute more than one command, but I seem to mistunderstand something fundamental, at least the server closes the connection always after the first command. Hm, my apps do that without me writing something special, I guess python cares for shutdown; I only hooked some cleanup stuff (e.g. reactor.stop) into my app class's __del__ method. Hi, Does anyone know how to cleanly shut down a Twisted application from the outside (i.e. from a different process, via the OS) in Windows? I'd like to thank everyone who sprinted or helped out sprinters on IRC this weekend. 102 separate commits were made to Twisted SVN over the weekend, much more than a typical weekend ;) Oh yeah, and there was a lot of work on the 2.1 release of Twisted Core too... Hi All, I am wondering about the status of twisted.web2 and twisted in general on Windows. I personally don't have access to a Windows machine and hence am asking, but I have just received a report of Zope3 (which now uses Twisted has its server) failing tests because of a problem in the twisted.web2.channel.cgi module. That means, in my mind, everything that twisted.web does, then something more. A list of things I haven't seen out of web2 yet: * Painless web server deployment. Moshe's twisted-web package was a functional, useful package that allowed sysadmins to set up servers that used twisted.web in a very easy way. It had things like /etc/twisted-web/local.d, where you could throw your own deployment scripts, which I've found very useful. It also made it *dead simple* for someone with just basic knowledge to set up a working server, even if just for serving static pages. I think that having something like this included in twisted.web2 would be a great place to start; wubwubwub is probably the best place to work from. * File uploads. This was a major sticking point with twisted.web. In fact, it was the most commonly-repeated problem I heard, and a problem I know someone, somewhere, has to have solved by now on their own. So how does this work in twisted.web2? More importantly, how can it be added to a twisted.web application that is being migrated? Can it be added piecemeal? web2/fileupload.py is a bit intimidating; someone needs to lead us straight to the hidden treasure. * Clear migration path from an existing twisted.web application. If I've written an application that has old-style resources, do I even have an upgrade path? What about twisted.web.distrib? A lot of people use this, especially with sockets; what's the web2 equivalent? * Clear migration path from an existing Nevow application. If I have a Nevow site, a set of resources, and an application that revolves around them, and I want to start using web2, where do I start? * Comparison of major design changes. This ties in with the migration path from Nevow. What the heck does the streams module do? What's different about the appserver, context, requests, static files, or virtual hosts? All of these are things that either do not exist, or do not have adequate documentation.
