[Twisted-Python] QtReactor problem with Modal Dialogs (Twisted 2.x)

I am using a pb client and a pb server. My client uses the twisted's qtreactor. Since twisted 2.0, modal dialogs causes "connection lost" and I couldn't overcome this problem for months. I tested this behaviour in twisted 1.3, 2.0, 2.1 and finally 2.2. When I use twisted 1.3, no problem occurs, the other versions all causes the same error. I am posting the traceback and a small sample server and a qt client which imitates the problem I have. Any help is greatly appreciated. [Twisted-Python] Twisted & SOAP

I've been experimenting with the Twisted web/soap.py integration with SOAPpy which appears to do the sort of I stuff I need at the moment. However, a recent message on the Pywebsvcs-talk mailing list said: "Any objection to our diabolical plan to integrate wstools into ZSI and shove SOAPpy to a second class status? We'd like to converge on a single python web services solution, but we're working hard to make sure SOAPpy users can do in ZSI what they can do in SOAPpy..." What effect will this development have on support for SOAP in Twisted? regards Richard

Hello i have some problem with pyserial. In one forum peoples said the with twisted serial i can solve this problem. Can you help me to configure the port as show below: data baud = 38400 parity= odd byte delay= 40000 rec timeout = 200 stop bit= 2 serial control line: dtr = high rts= low toggle this line for a reset: rts. and also were i can find some sample of twisted and serial communication Thanks Luca

[Twisted-Python] Sending commands when using Telnet client

Yes, I'm sort of a Twisted newbie, so maybe this has an obvious answer, but I'm just not seeing it. I have a Twisted program that I need to add in the ability to make a client telnet connection to a remote server and send some commands to it and deal with the data received. I want to be able to reference the "cmd" parameter, which could be a list of commands to iterate over,etc. But I don't see how I can access the "cmd" parameter that gets passed into the TelnetConnection class from within the TelnetClient class. I'm really desparate for some help, I've been racking my brain on this since yesterday morning. Thanks, Don
