Hello, I've recently been doing work with Twisted tests from within the Zope testrunner. It's a real pain because if the tests or their callbacks raise exceptions, no traceback gets given to the result object. See #2495. The fix I've uploaded doesn't actually help me. By the time the result object gets the failures, they've been cleaned with cleanFailure -- Failure.tb is None and everything is a string. I have written a highly simplified twisted web server using twisted extending one of the demos, but I have one small problem. I cannot see out how to arrange to have the server listen one particluar address:port combination. The system I want to use it on has a pair of NICs and I need the server to listen on one NIC and not the other due to port conflicts. Any help would be appreciated.

I mentioned at Pycon that I wanted to use Py2exe to distribute my tac. How would it be done? The alternate method I had been using was not using a tac file but that was not recommended. Thanks Alvin Wang PS It was great meeting some of the Twisted folk at Pycon. Highly recommended!!

Some users of a program that I'm writing have been reporting this error that I so far have been unable to track down. Hello all, I am building a basic chat program. I am using LineReceiver for the protocol on both the server and the client. My problem is when i loop through all the clients in my ServerFactory and choose to send data to the client with multiple calls to transport.write(data), the client side does not pick it up in two seperate calls, instead it is received in one lineReceive. I am sorry if I sound stupid or you feel I may not be looking hard enough in the current documentation, however I am looking for documentation on the transport attribute that is available to the t.i.p.Protocol class. I don't see anything about this attribute, so If i hadn't seen code examples I would not have known it was even available. Hi. I have noted that the python-twisted package depends on python-twisted-words. Is this really true? For me this is a problem. Today I have updated a Debian Etch server and an upgrade for python-twisted-words requires the installation of GTK and X11! Thanks Manlio Perillo

The following code, from the O'Reilly Twisted book, is supposed to download and print out the contents of a URL. When I run it, however, the value of data is empty. If I type in a bad URL it gives me an error, as it is supposed to. If I replace 'print data' with print "hello world" it prints "hello world." The only thing that doesn't work is that the value of data is empty. I am running Twisted 2.1, Python 2.4.3 and Red Hat 7.3 . What am I doing wrong? Hi all, yesterday I troubled some devs about the current state of integration between Twisted and dbus. It all boils down to adding this two lines right after importing dbus.
