Hi, my program has two parts running in two threads. One is a GUI layer, the other is a twisted layer for communication with a remote server. Sometimes, a button is clicked in GUI to notice the twisted thread to send out some data. (reactor.callFromThread should be used, right?) Hello, I love python and I find twisted fantastic, but here I have to write a C++ application, for performance pseudo-reasons :-( I was looking for a Twisted-like framework in C++. Do you know if such a library exists? ACE seems to provide powerful tools for networking, but I could not find something like Protocols and Deferred. Hello, In my C++ game server, I used the socket number as the temporary ID of the connected player. Is there anyway to retrieve the socket number of a new player? Atm, I am just using self.transport.getPeer().host, but this is only the IP address, not socket. All, I'm using t.e.adbapi with psycopg against a Postgres 8 database. This database is replicated using Slony-I and I'm hitting this problem: http://linuxfinances.info/info/faq.html#AEN45927 Basically, holding open SQL connections for a long time causes postgres to cache query plans; these cached plans need to be freed for Slony to rollover its internal SQL replication log table. Just to point out, iterate() does seem to run a loop of reactor, before returning. No call to run() is required. This is contrary to the API docs. Why would iterate() be a dead end, jean?
