Hi, I'm sorry if I'm posting to the wrong list. I tried upgrading Twisted from 2.5.0 to 8.0.1 on Windows with Python 2.5.2, but it doesn't work due to missing dependency: zope.interface (I'm trying to run Buildbot on it, if that matters). Upon checking into this 2.5.0 installer for Windows had Zope modules included, but 8.0.1 doesn't. On my AMP server I'm using twisted.enterprise to query a postgres database and do inserts. I'd like to return whether the insert succeeded or failed as the response to the AMP responder function -- is there an established pattern for doing things like that? [Twisted-Python] ldaptor with Twisted 8.0.1

To get ldaptor running with Twisted 8.0.1, I edited ldaptor/interfaces.py and replaced references to twisted.python.components.Interface with zope.interface.Interface and everything seems fine. Any gotchas I might be missing? Anyone else using ldaptor with the latest Twisted release? Thanks for any help. Peace, David S.

[Twisted-Python] Event dispatcher

Hello, I was searching for an event dispatching mechanism in twisted and I cam upon this : http://twistedmatrix.com/trac/browser/trunk/twisted/python/dispatch.py but apparently it's being depreciated. There is no mention of what replaces it though, does someone know? Is there no replacement? If so, that must mean that there is a better way of doing things, can someone please tell me how? Hello, I wanted to test my app in windows, but twisted can't find zope.interface. I searched, and it isn't installed, is this an error or is it wanted? Can I just download the needed zope stuff without having to get all of zope? Thanks, Gabriel
