hi there, folks: I'd really like to release 0.7.0 but I would like it to be at least a little bit tested before I do so. Could those of you with CVS trees check everything out and see if it performs as advertised? Deeper bugs than that will have to wait for the next release, but I'd at least like to know if it works for someone other than me. [Twisted-Python] regarding xml elements

Hi, I have an xml file in my application, I have created an element using Example goes like this......... document.createElement("abc") and i appeneded it by using append() method. But how i can reflect this change to my xml file? and one more thing is i want to create element with some other parameters.... like............. <abc m=" " n=" "> </abc> and i have m and n values as strings with me. can anybody help me to create this element and write it to the existing xml file as a child of an existing element? [Twisted-Python] Logging to both console and file (using twisted logging API)?

Hi, I wanted to log in a file and keep the console also going with it. I am using log.startLogging(open(logname, 'w')) whatever documentation I could find about this API, it suggested me to pass setStdout=False(in order to keep stdout away from putting into log) somewhere in the startlogging function. Something like this I tried: log.startLogging(sys.stdout,setStdout=False) Doesnt help in solving the problem of getting both things: Requirement: log.msg("messageforlog") -> goes to log print "message for console" -> goes to console Could anyone give some ideas on this? Hi, calling in client code self.cred.login() I can't print login result. What I'm doing wrong? login method returns deffered, but should yield result from callRemote method. Thanks for any help! Hi there, I am using twisted trial to run test cases for an application. The application however uses stackless python and has a custom stackless reactor. And this all works. Running the app with twistd, the custom reactor is installed and is used as the reactor for the app. Now however, I come to write tests and run them with trial. I *need* the tests to be run under the stackless reactor or things simply wont work (a lot of the code I need to test are stackless tasklets). When I go "/usr/local/stackless/bin/trial --help-reactors" I get the following list: kqueue kqueue(2)-based reactor. win32 Win32 WaitForMultipleObjects-based reactor. epoll epoll(4)-based reactor. iocp Win32 IO Completion Ports-based reactor. gtk Gtk1 integration reactor. cf CoreFoundation integration reactor. gtk2 Gtk2 integration reactor. default The best reactor for the current platform. debug-gui Semi-functional debugging/introspection reactor. poll poll(2)-based reactor. glib2 GLib2 event-loop integration reactor. select select(2)-based reactor. wx wxPython integration reactor. qt QT integration reactor One of these I can use by passing in --reactor=name. So the question is, is there a way of getting the trial framework to use my custom reactor? Is there a way to get my reactor into that list somehow? Is this not a supported feature of trial? And... if this isn't a supported feature, what is the best way to get a TestCase that will run under that reactor? Look forward to any help people can offer me. With kind regards Crispin Wellington

Hi! I've been pulling my hair out all day... I have a Django 1.1.x project running under Twisted Trunk (27392) using WSGI. I've been having mega-problems with forms not showing up in Django's REQUEST object so I decided to nail it down to the simplest case. I thought I was only having problems with simple <form>...</form> type submissions but, nope, as soon as I wrote the regular Django one, it also failed. The form runs fine under ∂jango's development server. The project's at: http://github.com/ssteiner/twisted-django I am using the WSGI method that is shown for use with Pinax which has worked for me in the past and is very simple. I also included a newer, more complicated method that I stole from an earlier version of clemesha's hotdot at master - GitHub, from an article he wrote a little while ago that I'm too tired to find right now. I would love to get to the bottom of this as Twisted + Django + Orbited really is the foundation of an app I'm writing and this is a real showstopper.
