[Twisted-Python] Help with porting .tac-based custom logging to twisted plugin architecture

I have an app I'm working on, and until this point it's been done utilizing a .tac file. Recent changes in requirements are encouraging a change to use the Twisted plugin system instead. This seems clear for the most part, but I'm unsure about the logging. Specifically, in the .tac version, I'm using this: lf = logfile.DailyLogFile("my.log", ".") logname = "testlog" configure_python_logging(lf, logname) application.setComponent(log.ILogObserver, log.PythonLoggingObserver(logname).emit) However, in the plugin version, I'm not sure how to proceed since I don't have an application object. I can't seem to find any documentation for configuring logging with plugins, either. Is there a way to make this work? Hello, I have created a Twisted version of redis.py. I needed an asynchronous version of the python client for use in Twisted based projects, and I have not seen any other efforts on this front. Please let me know if I completely overlooked an existing Twisted+Redis Client project. I have translated all of the doc tests in redis.py to Trial unit tests, and they are all passing. Version 0.1.1 is available on pypi<http://pypi.python.org/pypi/txredis/0.1.1>, and here is the source code <http://ooici.net:82/?p=txredis.git;a=summary>git repository. [Twisted-Python] testing a unit that spawnsProcess

What is a good way to unit test this amp responder which will call a process? Other things it does are covered with other tests thanks to the tests I copied from lp:game. That should be a pretty awesome game or at least it will work. [Twisted-Python] Conferences / training?

Does anyone do any "formal" Twisted training? I've got several employees that are nearing the point where they need to learn twisted (and I wouldn't mind getting some formal training myself), and so I'm exploring the idea of either flying someone out to our offices to train or having us all go out to some conference (OSCON?) where some Twisted training goes on. I'm not in a rush -- I could wait up to a year if I had to, but I thought I ought to start putting feelers out. We're located in Utah, by the way. ~ Nathan

Hi, sorry for the cross-posting. I'm trying to compile CalendarServer and it has a script which get Twisted from subversion here: svn.twistedmatrix.com/svn/Twisted/branches/dav-take-two-3081-4 Also if I try to get latest SVN of Twisted as says in the page http://svn.twistedmatrix.com/ I get the following error: ~$ svn co svn://svn.twistedmatrix.com/svn/Twisted/trunk Twisted svn: Cannot be possible to connect to 'svn.twistedmatrix.com': time connection expired Is it subversion up there ?? is there to access in another way ??
