Hi twisted community, What’s the best way to ensure writes to stdout via stdio.StandardIO are completed before we shutdown the reactor? Hi there, what is the most efficient/performant way of doing the following? I have a short message prepared .. say a string of 100 octets. I want to push out that _same_ string on 100k connected TCPs (on a server). == My thinking was: ideally, the 100 bytes would be transferred to kernel/NIC space just _once_, and then the kernel is only told to resend that buffer on the 100k connected TCPs. I'm working on a SPDY protocol implementation for Twisted. I've been keeping a hacking log here: http://icepick.info/2012/02/10/txspdy-day-3-pyopenssl-done-now-python-code/ So far I've gotten the NPN methods added to pyopenssl, and I'm now working on a protocol that parses the frames. At the end of this project I hope to have a way to make a https + spdy Site that serves up the same content for both protocols.

Hello, I'm the nominal maintainer of Trial. I'm also an active maintainer of testtools[1]. testtools is, roughly speaking, a base TestCase that works across a bunch of Pythons and has a few nice features[2]. I started to prefer it over Twisted's TestCase some time ago, and now use it pretty consistently, even for my Twisted code. testtools has a way of letting you run tests within the Twisted reactor, without needing to use a particular base class. after patching CopyableFailure as written, the stack trace now ends with the following lines. The correct exception message is still not shown. It contains unicode chars which reflect.py/safe_str cannot handle. Hi, all I'm a new guy for twisted, I just study the example of finger14.tac at this page : http://twistedmatrix.com/documents/current/core/howto/tutorial/protocol.html But, *startService* not called when program running. Please help, thanks. Code like bellow: class FingerService(service.Service): ... def startService(self): print 'start service' self.test_call() service.Service.startService(self) Noting output ,and test_call() not called.
