[Twisted-Python] TypeError: Class advice impossible in Python3.

Hi I am trying to use Twisted and PB but running into the below error in the zope.interface module. I am running Python 3.3 and zope.interface version 4.0.3. I am running this on a RedHat system. [Twisted-Python] How to tell when SSH command has finished in Conch?

Hi, I have a very similar question to the one that Vye Wilson recently asked, "Subject: What is The Correct Way to Close a Twisted Conch SSH Connection?" I am using Twisted Conch to write a program that ssh's into multiple machines and executes a single command. I am basically trying to do the equivalent of: for host in host1 host2 host3 do ssh user@host "cat /etc/hosts" done To start things off, I took http://twistedmatrix.com/documents/current/conch/examples/sshsimpleclient.py and started modifying it. Here is the code which I have: http://pastebin.com/RXhjUcrS The problem is, I can't figure out how to tell when a command has completed, so that I can call reactor.stop(). Not in the code example I posted above, I tried to use a DeferredList by following the example code in this blog post: http://technicae.cogitat.io/2008/06/async-batching-with-twisted-walkthrough… but I ran into the same problem where I couldn't figure out how to tell when my command over SSH had terminated. As a kluge, I called reactor.callLater() with a timeout of 20 seconds, and then called reactor.stop(). Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? [Twisted-Python] What is The Correct Way to Close a Twisted Conch SSH Connection?

Hi all, I've got an application that moves files around between hosts and SFTP is one of the protocols it needs to support. I'm currently using Twisted Conch for the SFTP implementation but have come across a problem where I'm not able to gracefully close SSH connections. I am new to Twisted so I don't feel confident that I'm going about this the correct way. I've asked in #twisted, SO, and exhausted as many tutorials as I could find, but I still haven't been able to find the correct way to close SSH connections. [Twisted-Python] Using telnet or linereceiver protocol over ssh

Hello, I implemented a twisted ssh server using SSHFactory and successfully registered the sftp factory. I now also wanted to add a simple telnet like protocol where I can send commands to the server and execute some actions based on that. For that I hooked the LineReceive to the openShell command. It works and I can ssh into the server, but I don't get the typed characters echoed back. This unfortunately makes it unusable. What I could do is to implement a standard Protocol and send the received data back whenever I get a dataReceived call. And for a DEL character I would have to send a BCKSPC, BLANK, BACKSPC sequence and track the current line myself. This works but it sounds like too much to do! Is there a better way for something like that? Sincerely, Fabian

Hi. I am new to Twisted. I am using this code: http://twistedmatrix.com/documents/current/core/examples/ftpclient.py<http://twistedmatrix.com/documents/current/core/examples/ftpclient.py> Can this example be used to connect to an FTP through a SOCKS4/5 proxy? Can somebody provide an example of how it should be done? Thanks
