Hi, While trying to fix https://twistedmatrix.com/trac/ticket/5999 I found out about the SSHTransportAddress introduced in 12.1. SSHTransportAddress is just an IAddress wrapping in a non-tranparent way another IAddress. It was introduces in #2997 which was accepted without any reason why we need SSHTransportAddress and why SSHTransportAddress is better than an IAddress. Hi, First, a few question regarding the coverage builder. 1. Why is the coverage builder executed under a French locale ? 2. Does anyone check its results. Are those results used in some way? 3. I see that it is in the list of supported builder. Is the coverage builder relevant should we reject a patch if coverage is under a certain limit? Hi all, I have a twisted TCP server to listens to client, processes requests, do mysql database operations if needed (using adbapi Connection pool) and return the result. Before deploying this in production, I want to know right way to configure the server. Since twisted is single threaded, how can I leverage multiple cores of my production machine (which has 6 cores and 16 GB RAM) ? Hi, I am trying to help porting Twisted on Py3 and for me the fact that FilePath requires all paths to be bytes is a constant pain. To reduce the Unicode pain when working with string my principle is to do all internal operations in Unicode and then convert to bytes only at input and output. Right now I am trying to port t.p.moduled and when using the current implementation of FilePath I have to constantly encode/decode path. I find the "semantic newlines" standard which we have been attempting to enforce for documentation a constant source of annoyance. Ostensibly, the purpose of using semantic newlines is to reduce the size of diffs. However, given that we have oceans of documentation _not_ using this style, we are unlikely to reap that benefit any time soon. Platform: CPU: Intel (2x with 8 core each then hyper-threading gets us to 32 virtual) Ubuntu 14.04 Python 3.4 (yes, I know) Twisted 13.2.0 I use the vanilla twisted.internet.reactor.run() with the factory twisted.web.server.Site(root). It all runs just fine (seemingly) but,when I was snooping around on my machine, I had a ton of threads lying about.
