[Twisted-Python] sending queries and responses with the new dns module

can someone give me a quick code snippet on how to say construct and send a simple query and construct and send a simple response using the new dns module? I have a nice mdns listener written and I can see all the traffic flying around but I have not had any luck in sending queries or responses . . .
