There is only supposed to be one process on a system taking care of zeroconf publications. This means that it is more likely that you will want your app to talk to some existing zeroconf software. For example, on Linux, avahi.
Indeed. For those situations where glib2reactor really won't work, you could write a simple, blocking non-threaded python helper process, and talk to it via a Twisted ProcessProtocol This would be a very handy utility to have in TwistedCore
