[Twisted-Python] PyCon 2010 Twisted Sprint
Hi all, If there are enough interested people, there will be a Twisted sprint at PyCon this year. If you'll be at PyCon and are interested in sprinting on some Twisted topic, give a shout. Also, let us know what specific topics you're interested in so we can let other people know what to expect in the general announcement. Jean-Paul

I will be there for one day of the sprints. I'm interested in web2, deferred cancellation, endpoints, and getting a new release out.

By "web2" do you mean porting more of web2 back to web? S

I'll be there until Wednesday afternoon. I'm interested in web client, wsgi container, websocket support, inotify... -- Thomas

I plan on being around for most of the first day of sprints (22nd). I'd be interested in most of the topics listed above, but also getting the Generic SASL support working, as well as stdio/console support on Win32. And of course, getting the Twisted Docs transitioned to Sphinx. Kevin Horn

I plan on going Monday. This will be my first Twisted sprint, so don't hold me to the fire on being super productive. Not sure what I'll work on yet, but I'd like to revive the idea of a "Twisted Game" contest similar to PyWeek -- this was mentioned at PyCon 2008. It would be cool to map out how we could do this if anyone has an interest in this still. -Drew

Who told you that we hold super-productive people to the fire? That sounds backwards! We only put you in the fire if you _aren't_ productive. ;-)

It would be awesome if you could organize that.

From your explanation, it sounds like a Twisted sprint turns into something like the Donner party expedition; I am afraid now. > > Not sure what I'll work on yet, but I'd like to revive the idea of a > "Twisted Game" contest similar to PyWeek -- this was mentioned at PyCon > 2008. I'll be there for all of the sprint days. I'm interested in fixing bugs in Conch, getting a release out, pair programming fun, toolchain work and making it easier for casual contributors to contribute casually. In roughly that order. jml
I'm still pretty new to twisted but would like to help out in the sprint however I can. I'm interested in web/web2, spread, inotify, and deferToProcess. I'll be around Friday-Tuesday morning. --matt On Mon, Feb 8, 2010 at 5:23 AM, Jonathan Lange <jml@mumak.net> wrote:
