This question would be more appropriately addressed to the maintainer of the Twisted packages in Debian, Matthias Klose <doko@debian.org>. You might also consider filing a wishlist severity bug requesting that Twisted 2.5 be packaged. The package is in Ubuntu feisty, but not in Debian experimental. I do not think the release of etch is the problem, since, as an example, the latest version of SQLAlchemy is already in experimental (in date 2007-03-24). Regards Manlio Perillo
