[Twisted-Python] Twisted broken in debian testing
It seems that the python profile module has been moved to the non-free section in debian, and the twisted package requires it but doesn't list it as a dependancy. The result is that the twisted package is broken unless you add the non-free section to your sources.list and install python2.3-profile.
From my understanding, if twisted continues to require profile, then twisted has to move to non-free also? Is the profile module really needed?

I think if a package has a non-free dependency, it moves into contrib. I see you already filed http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=296181 -- see also the (closed) http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=294493 -- it looks like a new version of Twisted has already gone into unstable with a conditional import of the profiler. -Mary
