I'm up for sprinting, and will be leaving Saturday mid-day.

The union of the documentation and yt-3.0 boards looks pretty complete to my eye.

All the red cards are blockers.

I think some sort of discussion before the sprint would be a good idea, particularly to hammer out what to do about volume rendering and analysis modules, which right now need the most work.

Docs are also a big blocker but I think we have a pretty good idea what needs to happen there. It would also be nice if we could resolve the issues with particle fields in Enzo - something I might try my hand at doing in the next week or so if no one else gets around to doing that.

Are the Trello boards up to date with blockers? Should we have a pre-sprint to finish it off?

If the yt-3.0 release hasn't happened by then that's certainly where I'll be focusing my efforts.

That said, if you want to work on GDF no one will be forcing or expecting you to work on 3.0 issues.

I had originally hoped to have GDF being a part of this sprint, but it appears that it is possible that 3.0 will not be finished by then--so that would then be the focus.

Or am I wrong?

Hi all,

I am interested. I'm also a local resident so let me know if you need anything (e.g. access to UT Austin).

Cheers,

Hi all,

Matt has submitted a proposal for a yt sprint at the Scipy conference. I think the proposal is pretty much pro forma - there will almost certainly be a yt sprint.

The sprints will be July 11th and 12th.  I'm planning on being there for both days but will have to leave to catch a plane the afternoon of July 12th.

Please reply to this thread if you're interested in participating.  Even if you're not going to be at the scipy conference this year, remote participation will certainly be doable.
