Hi all,
Matt has submitted a proposal for a yt sprint at the Scipy conference. I think the proposal is pretty much pro forma - there will almost certainly be a yt sprint.
Yes! And it will be a great opportunity both for in-person communication as well as building connections to other communities.
The sprints will be July 11th and 12th. I'm planning on being there for both days but will have to leave to catch a plane the afternoon of July 12th.
I'll probably be flying out around 5:15 on Saturday (the 12th) as well. I think we're going to have a bunch of people attending SciPy this year. Nathan's leading a talk on yt, I'm giving one on ZeroPy, John is giving one on XRay simulated observations, and there's also going to be a WSSSPE workshop on Thursday afternoon about developing sustainable scientific software. Looks like a great week coming up!
Please reply to this thread if you're interested in participating. Even if you're not going to be at the scipy conference this year, remote participation will certainly be doable.
-Nathan
