Hi guys, Thanks, I've noted all your comments and made the appropriate changes. :) John, I've actually written the first draft of the new particle IO. It's in the hg branch memory-optimization, which will become the new development trunk relatively shortly -- it features a completely rewritten hierarchy, updated grid classes, totally new particle IO, Stephen's new parallel halo finder, and overall refactoring of a bunch of code that had gotten crusty. It's also the branch on which Jeff has been implementing Chombo support. -Matt On Tue, Oct 20, 2009 at 7:13 AM, Britton Smith <brittonsmith@gmail.com> wrote:
Matt,
The latest version of EnzoSimulation.py is in the svn trunk, unless there were changes made by someone else. Unless someone else has done something, it should be merged from the svn trunk to hg.

Hi Matt,
However, I didn't merge either:
yt/extensions/EnzoSimulation.py by Britton (wasn't sure if this was up to date or out of date) yt/lagos/PointsInVolume.* by John (substantial amount of code of yours) yt/lagos/HierarchyType.py by John (the find_particles_by_type)
I'm totally fine with those two additions not being added to the svn trunk because they're not fully tested, and the latter is (or will be) obsolete with your proposed object that handles particles more gracefully.
