I have no idea - I was just reporting the issue I saw and the quick
fix I found. I know nothing about manifest.in files.

Interesting. So, doesn't this then mean we're no longer pruning those directories? So an sdist made from a doc-built-yt-repo might include them?

As discussed, I imported the docs into the 3.0 branch in my MatthewTurk/yt repository. I did this as an anonymous user, not myself. Bookmark is 30docs.
