I have created a Spack <https://github.com/LLNL/spack> package for yt: <https://github.com/LLNL/spack/pull/1751>.

Spack is a user-mode package manager for HPC systems. Once this package is accepted into Spack, people can install yt by typing "spack install yt". This will then install all necessary prerequisites (Python, HDF5, maybe MPI) as well.
