Hi,

Please take a look at our ideas page:

https://github.com/yt-project/gsoc-2018

On that page you'll see a set of instructions for how to get started contributing and a list of ideas. If any of the ideas seem interesting to you and you think you might want to work on one or them, then please let us know on this mailing list. Successful GSOC applicants generally work on their application ahead of time in coordination with their mentors, so please make sure you give yourself time to ask questions, fully understand the project, and write a draft of the application with plenty of time to spare so you can get comments from your prospective mentor.

Hope that helps,

Nathan

Dear all,
I am Aasheesh Tiwari from India. Currently, I am pursuing Masters in Geoinformatics from CSRE , Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). I have my bachelors in Computer Science. I have had the exposure to geospatial data and I did several assignments on spatial data Interpolation . I have good understanding of various interpolation techniques.

Currently, i have been working on an IOT based sensing device which measures various parameters of an agricultural land, this data acquired from the sensors is used to predict the health of crops. And various parameters like temperature, soil moisture etc are visualized for the farmers to interpret.

I would love to contribute  in the upcoming Google Summer of Code 2018. I would be very grateful to get any directions to start with so that i can pursue and participate in GSoC 2018 with your organisation.
