Agreed +1 to a CoC.

Would anyone like to volunteer to write it up as a YTEP and include it on the website?

This is a grand idea.

I think that adoption of this kind of idea is important in groups like yt, where its adoption is easy. It paves the way for adoption in groups where these ideals will be harder to implement, but equally important.

Third.  It's really important we implement something like this *before* we potentially have any issues that it addresses.

I'll second Matt's endorsement - the linked-to code of conduct promotes respectful discourse, inclusiveness toward both newcomers and dissenting opinions, and the thoughtful consideration of criticism (which hopefully will be given in a constructive and positive way).  As somebody who is not one of the core yt developers, but certainly an enthusiastic user, it seems to me that the yt community already typically lives up to these ideals - however, making it an explicit part of our values can't hurt!

Hi Britton,

I think this is a *spectacular* idea.  We should break the format of
the YTEP and just put this in one, or a link to it.

Frankly, a code of conduct is long overdue, and I am happy to see
Astropy leading this initiative.  Thank you for passing it along.
