I'm not sure if this is related to the latest changes in volume rendering, I just updated my YT to see if the strange behavior of transfer function was fixed, but my old script which rotates the cube using cam.rotation now rotates the cube in strange ways, like the north vector is being redefined half way through the rotation. Here's the script I used, and I just updated to the latest YT http://paste.yt-project.org/show/2612/ (dev-yt)4-c-ce-e0-97-1e:yt-hg gso$ hg summary parent: 6186:2ff4b9960158 tip From G.S.
Hi Geoffrey,
Can you try adding: steady_north=True in your camera call?
cam = pf.h.camera(c, L, W, (Nvec,Nvec), tf, north_vector=north_vector,
steady_north=True, fields=field)

Unfortunately it did not fix it, and intermittently I get frames of pure
black. Rerunning the scripts gets rid of the black frames but it did not
change the behavior of the rotation.
Is something wrong with my YT, should I remove and reinstall?

Hi Geoffrey, I hear in IRC that a bug was just fixed in volume rendering that may impact this. Please try updating again. Furthermore, I thought it might be worth pointing out that
Is something wrong with my YT, should I remove and reinstall?
should pretty much never be necessary. j
Hi Geoffrey,
Using the tip, I get:
http://corvette.colorado.edu/~skillman/gso/movie.html
from:
http://paste.yt-project.org/show/2613/
The only difference was that i got rid of the rot_vector= keyword in the
cam.rotation. Let us know if that helps.
