Dear all, Registration is open for the upcoming "yAC: yt at CCA" workshop, to take place at the Flatiron Institute from Monday March 23rd through Wednesday March 25th: https://forms.gle/56bmuYKcX5NCDF5aA This workshop will introduce the yt visualization and analysis tool ( https://yt-project.org/), provide tutorials and example workflows, and time to interact with the developers. Additionally, there will be ample free time for practice and hacking in the afternoons. Participation is limited to ~40, so please register early if you are interested. error while installing YT

Dear Yt users, I am trying to install YT with the attached installing script. Cornell CS students seeking scientific software development projects

Greetings yt community, I am a graduate student in Cornell's Department of Computer Science seeking suggestions for semester long software development projects. I wonder, is there anyone in the yt community with a yt development project in mind that might benefit from a dedicated team of (aspiring) scientific software developers? The guidelines of the project require that we have a "client" to interface with on a weekly basis. To learn more about the course and the projects, see https://www.cs.cornell.edu/courses/cs5150/2020sp/ and follow the Projects links. Note especially that the projects are production systems, not prototypes or (purely) academic research. A project can be a small, complete system, or part of a larger system; students undertake projects in teams of 6 to 8. These teams develop real software applications for clients who intend to place them into production. At the end of the course, students are expected to hand over operational software, which has been thoroughly tested, with good documentation for future maintenance. Thanks for considering. Issue with PLUTO slice plots

Hi all, I'm trying to make slice plots for 3D chombo data sets created with pluto version 4.3, but I'm consistently (not just this dataset) running into the issue where some boxes are empty. I've also made a slice plot using VisIt where these empty boxes do not show up, so it's probably an issue in yt. Is pluto v4.3 supported? Is there maybe an easy work around? yt-version: 4.0.dev0 The issue was also present in the latest stable version. mass-weighted average magnetic field (QUIVERS) projected on to the plane plot

I would like to annotate Mass weighted Magnetic field quivers on density projection plot so that i can display the magnetic field features. Do annotate_magnetic_field() , annotate_quiver() work correctly on projection plot or do they work only on slice plot correctly. If they work on projection plot then against which quantity magnetic field quivers are weighed or not weighted?
