Hi Agarwal, Can you give us a little bit more detail on your setup - i.e. OS X version, intel or powerPC, and any other information that may be important. The error you're seeing can happen when python is built on a 64 bit platform but tries to link against 32 bit libraries. Can you try opening the python that install script built (it should be in $YT_DEST/bin/python2.7) typing 'import pyexpat'?. I've never seen this error before so apologies for not having a quick solution. Hi,
While trying to install yt on mac, it quits after a while:
Installing BZLIB Installing ZLIB Installing PNG Installing FreeType2 Installing HDF5 Installing SQLite3 Installing Python. This may take a while, but don't worry. YT loves you. Installing Mercurial. Installing mercurial-2.0 (arguments: 'mercurial-2.0') Setting YT_DIR=/Users/hitu/Documents/yt/yt-i386/src/yt-hg/ Installing distribute Installing pip Failure. Check /Users/hitu/Documents/yt/yt-i386/yt_install.log.
I checked yt_install.log :
from pyexpat import * ImportError: No module named pyexpat Something went wrong during the installation. See the error message above. install_script.sh: line 499: /Users/hitu/Documents/yt/yt-i386/bin/easy_install-2.7: No such file or directory
Please let me know how to proceed. Thanks Shankar !DSPAM:10175,4ff5d2ea26207861929410! _______________________________________________ yt-users mailing list yt-users@lists.spacepope.org http://lists.spacepope.org/listinfo.cgi/yt-users-spacepope.org
