Hi Michael Zingale,
It seems that the answer in the linking webpage is to merging two color-bars(or colormap) into one,
but I need those two colormaps be distinct from each other.
I cannot figure out how to use it to achieve it.
Here is a more detailed description of my question:
I want to overlay two sliceplots together
For example: I have a temperature field and a density field,
then I want to plot the distributions of temperature field and density field in one sliceplot.
The X-Y axis of the plot is physical location coordinate.
In such a plot, we can find the temperature value and density value on each physical location.
I will be appreciated if you can give me some more suggestions, thank you!
Best wishes,
He Yifeng

Hello He Yifeng,
I may have missed something, but are you looking for plotting the contours for one field over the 2D sliced/projected plot of another field?
Otherwise, maybe a phase-plot can help you in achieving your science goal.
Thanks,

Hi everyone:
I want to plot two kinds of field values in one figure and I have searched information about OVERPLOT of YT.
It seems that there is no function can do this.
I will be appreciated if anyone can give me some suggestions, thank you all!
Best wishes,
He Yifeng
