And in fact, on Ubuntu the install script will spit out exactly which packages it needs:
It would help to figure out exactly which libraries and packages are needed if you're running a different distribution or a different flavor of UNIX.
If this is a shared computer or cluster and you don't have root access it should be possible to get this working but it will probably be a bit more complicated.

on ubuntu you can do% dpkg -S /usr/include/linux/errno.hlinux-libc-dev: /usr/include/linux/errno.h
so you need to have that "dev" package installed. For other distro'sit might have a different name. If this is your first time installing it,you might wind up needing more of these development packages
for some of the libraries.I've seen quite a few packages give their developers a nice listof how to update their system, something like
