Creating a 3D image of a cosmological box
Hello, This is a slightly big ask but I'm trying to get an image of one of my simulations with the full box in view with all halos visible. I'm not sure if something needs to be specifically set up with Enzo or MUSIC but hopefully this is just a yt thing. Many thanks Andy
Hi Andy, I would create a ProjectionPlot for your simulation. By default, it will use the full domain, but you can specify a width to be smaller (or larger) if you choose. Just follow the cookbook recipe here: http://yt-project.org/docs/dev/cookbook/simple_plots.html#simple-projections... You can also run a Halo Finder on it and overplot the locations of the halos as well, although halo finding can be slow: http://yt-project.org/docs/dev/cookbook/cosmological_analysis.html#plotting-...
