I've final gotten yt to install. The problem appears to be that the installer script didn't get the path to Octave.app/Contents/Resources/lib/libgettextsrc-0.18.dylib correct. The script used /Applications/Octave.app/Contents/Resources/lib/libgettextsrc-0.18.dylib instead of /Applications/Octave0.3.4/Octave.app/Contents/Resources/lib/libgettextsrc-0.18.dylib. I moved the Octave.app to the /Applications level, ran the installation and the rest was history.

Interesting! Odd that Octave would get in the way like that. Anyway, glad that it worked out, and let us know if you run into any other problems!
