After I put the command you gave me, this appears: ['0', '(do', 'not', 'modify')'] I guess the reason is what you said, but then I have another problem: I can't find in the documentation any example I can use the HOP with; there are examples of commands to use, but no one says what parameter file are they using, if you can help I'd would be very grateful (I already am actually).

Yup, that's the response from running on the test data that comes with yt. I've put up another (very small) dataset here you can try out:

Hi Miguel,
I see that Matt has provided you with some sample data to try out the halo finders. In general, the only Enzo simulations for which halo finding is appropriate are the cosmological simulations. For more information on running one of those, refer to the documentation here: http://docs.enzo.googlecode.com/hg/tutorials/RunCosmologySimulation.html
