Sometime online banking is called electronic banking, Internet banking or home banking. With the help of the internet, banks have started utilizing powerful computer networks for automating large numbers of daily transactions, which minimizes the time consuming manual paper work and giving access to many different banking services to its clients instantly, on demand, at home or at your home pc http://www.carlos-hank-rhon.net http://www.carloshank-rhon.com Carlos Rhon Philanthropy With the help online banking the banks have the power to attract the new and potential customers by giving them an opportunity to eradicate time consuming teller interactions and has therefore become a significant competitive weapon in an increasingly over supplied banking environment. Online banking allows day to day transactions over the Internet through a secure bank website. With the help of online banking one can have access to money and banking functions anytime and anywhere, where there is internet access. One advantage of these online banks is that they remain available all the time unlike the traditional banks, which are open only within office hours. If the consumer is out of town and he needs money, then he can log on quickly to his banks website and take care of the required business, such as paying a pressing utility bill. Also the individual can manage and access all of the aspects of bank accounts like CDs, IRAs securities from one protected website. Inreasingly banks are using online access to bundle access to stock brokerage and other financial services. The speed employed by the online banks for executing and confirming the transactions is faster than the traditional speed of ATM processing. Also various features are included in online bank websites. These features such as stock quotes, account aggregation, programs for managing portfolio and rate alerts assist the customers in organizing all their assets easily and efficiently. This technology has seen a tremendous increment in usage, as more and more big national banks and various other banks in smaller regions, have started some form of online banking to provide convenience to their customers. In fact it is rare today to find a significant bank without a comprehensive online presence. The online banking mechanism is fast and relatively secure compared to the traditional banks operations because of automation of the manual aspects of banking practice, which is time consuming. It is interesting to note that often a modern internet banking facility is built as a front end to an older legacy banking system. Banks are loath to change something that they know works, when millions of dollars flow through the system. Apart from various benefits, there are also some downfalls of online banking as online crime is increasing day by day. A few computer glitches which have revealed individuals personal details have been occuring, sometimes at third party processors. Therefore one must check the security of the website, while conducting business online as any leak of passwords to the wrong person may have adverse effects. Also one should make sure to log out after finishing the session. The computers security system should be sound enough to maintain privacy of personal information. But still, we can say that Internet banking is really a boom to the customers in accessing and managing their account effectively, anytime and almost anywhere. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... By definition, direct response marketing is when a business practices promotions that allow or ask consumers to immediately respond to an advertisement that has been sent by mail, email, telephone, fax or other form of communication. Everyone with a mailbox or email address has probably received an advertisement that fits the definition of direct response marketing but immediately identifies it as junk and throws it into the recycle box or clicks on the delete button. There are very few direct response marketing efforts that actually produce the desired results and set themselves apart from the mass of discarded attempts. These efforts are the result of carefully planned direct response marketing campaigns that most likely followed a basic but important list of guidelines in order to be successful. Keith Mirchandani Owner Of Tristar Products Inc Some research is essential before attempting any type of direct marketing campaign. There are a number of experts that can guide a direct marketing campaign toward a target audience based on the product that is being sold or the service that is being offered. There is no point in launching a blind direct response marketing campaign and reaching hundreds of uninterested individuals. No one spends much time glancing at what could eventually be considered junk mail. A direct response marketing message should be short and to the point within the first sentence of any letter. If a letter attempting to evoke a response does not make its point in the first sentence of a letter, it was not worth sending out in the first place. If the letter has made its point, it isnt necessary to get long winded about the features that come with or may come about as the result of a product or service. People want to know how something will be of benefit to them and nothing else. If a product saves a person time or improves their quality of life in some way, that is the type of thing that should be pointed out in a short and to the point letter. The more personal a direct response marketing campaign can be the better. If a person feels like a letter is directed specifically at them, they are more likely to take a look at the correspondence than an obvious form letter that was most likely sent out to thousands of other people. Keep in mind that a direct response marketing effort is the first step toward arousing interest in a person. The next step is for the individual to make a phone call or return a response of some kind. Sales are a completely different ball game. Studies in direct response marketing have uncovered some interesting tips that can improve the way a letter is written to any target audience. People dont like to be challenged when reading complicated ideas and language in unsolicited communication, so the wording in any letter should be simple and easy to understand. Research has also shown that most people scan a letter and read the postscript at the end before reading the entire letter. This provides an excellent opportunity for direct response marketing writers to reiterate their offer or request and to rouse interest. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... AFAIK YouTube was and is the single largest-scale Python application (in terms of number of users); although Google made heavy use of Python before its purchase of YouTube, it mostly isn't used for front-facing server code. Latest version, fifty words, one word available by chopping "standard": Python is a dynamic, object-oriented, general purpose programming language with an extensive standard library. Python runtimes are available for platform binary, .NET, and Java. Python encourages readable, maintainable, and high-quality code with its clean syntax and built-in test frameworks. Back to fifty words ("programming" can be chopped if another word is wanted): Python is a dynamic, object-oriented, and general-purpose programming language with extensive libraries. Python's clean syntax and testing frameworks encourage readable and maintainable code. Python supports major operating systems, Java, .NET, and mobile/embedded devices. Integration with C/C++ is straightforward. Adopters include Google/YouTube, Philips, HP, EVE Online, and Industrial Light and Magic. I'm using ".NET" instead of "DLR" for the PHBs who come to OSCON; I think it's the more recognizable term. I'm sticking with requiring "language" for the same reason, and I'm sticking with YouTube per my previous post. I'm willing to chop either/both HP and EVE Online if necessary; I'm requiring Philips because that's the only non-computer industrial company I found on the success page. -- Aahz (aahz at pythoncraft.com) <*> http://www.pythoncraft.com/ "In 1968 it took the computing power of 2 C-64's to fly a rocket to the moon. C is still the lingua franca of today's world. When it comes to extending and embedding, C is indeed where it's at. I doesn't matter how cool a language is, if it's not easy to interface it with pre-existing C libraries, that's a problem. So, it's worth highlighting. That's actually three more words, but I would rather delete other adopters; I think it's important that someone reading this blurb doesn't have to figure out an abbreviation. Keep in mind that a random business programmer or PHB who doesn't watch a lot of movies might not be familiar with ILM. -- Aahz (aahz at pythoncraft.com) <*> http://www.pythoncraft.com/ "In 1968 it took the computing power of 2 C-64's to fly a rocket to the moon.
