[AstroPy] pywcs problems on snow leopard (os x 10.6)

Pywcs (latest 1.7) compiles fine but when doing import in python it spits that at me:
(os x 10.6, system python) 

ImportError: dlopen(/Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/pywcs/_pywcs.so, 2): Symbol not found: _sincos
Referenced from: /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/pywcs/_pywcs.so
Expected in: flat namespace
in /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages/pywcs/_pywcs.so

any ideas?
