[AstroPy] PyFITS Version 2.3.1 Now Available

PyFITS Version 2.3.1 NOW AVAILABLE

The Science Software Branch of the Space Telescope
Science Institute wishes to announce the availability
of version 2.3.1 of PyFITS.

PyFITS version 2.3.1 is being released to resolve a
licensing issue in PyFITS.  PyFITS 2.3.1 is distributed
under a BSD license.  Unforturately, PyFITS version 2.0
(January 30 2009) through version 2.3 (May 11 2010)
contained a small anount of code in the Compressed Image
HDU extenstion module that was covered under a GNU
General Public License.  Prior to PyFITS version 2.0 and
beginning again with PyFITS version 2.3.1, PyFITS is
covered under a BSD license.
